After retiring from mentor, Judith desired to continue to use her storytelling skills to help kids who are inadequately. ‘I had always taken pleasure in reading to the kids in school at the end of the day. Mark joined the NHS in his 30s after leaving his family’s company without any official qualifications, but a drive to make a distinction. He started as a mental health support employee and went on to train as a general nurse. He certified at 37 and spent the next twenty years steadily climbing the ladder. ‘ I tried to change off a bedside light and seemed like something wasn’t right with me. I understood immediately it was a stroke.’ In July 2023, after an active vacation kayaking and walking, Bob unexpectedly had a stroke. He was flown by air ambulance to University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust, where he invested four weeks fixing up. ‘I utilized the health club frequently and did neurorehabilitation online (NROL)’. NROL is a group rehab programme for individuals who have had a stroke or have other neurological conditions. ‘I had a structured timetable which offered me something to eagerly anticipate every week – socially, mentally and mentally.’ Bob thanked NHS staff for ‘the wonderful assistance’ and the ongoing physiotherapy he received. ‘ Working along with nurses and seeing the difference they made inspired me to believe, ‘I could do that!” Meet Sharon, a sexual health nurse and non-medical prescriber who started her nursing journey in 1985 at the Royal Liverpool Teaching Hospital. In 2010 she joined Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust and continues to serve clients in Hertfordshire. ‘I loved helping individuals and discovering the body, so nursing simply felt right.’ Sharon reflects. Sharon has actually operated in male infertility, menopause, miscarriage and colposcopy to call a couple of, revealing the large range of locations in which nurses make a difference. ‘Truly, I can’t consider a location where nurses do not make an effect in some kind,’ Sharon confesses.
